Arguably the greatest American fighter of all time and one of the greatest from any nation. It was the first American fighter built based on combat experience. Capable of escorting B-17's from Great Britain to Berlin and back and the equal of any German conventional fighter in air-to-air combat, it changed the course of WWII.
The FDG P-51D attempts to due justice to this legendary warbird. It is painted in OEM, as delivered, color scheme. We hope that the artists of the CFS world will repaint it in the colors of the great Aces. As always we will be more than happy to post these repaints at fightertown.
